Poor Landon just had to have his blood drawn for allergy tests. Yesterday he ate yogurt for the first time and had a bad allergic reaction. He only had 3 small spoonfuls before his face turned red with a rash all over it and his tongue and lips swelled. He also developed a rash on his hands where he touched the yogurt at. It was scary watching him go through that because I was certain that he was going to stop breathing at any moment with how swollen his lips and tongue were. He acted as if nothing was bothering him throughout the whole ordeal. We took him to his pediatrician and she was surprised that he reacted to yogurt. They gave him some children's benadryl and it cleared it up. Since he had a reaction to wheat the other week we had to take him to get lab work done this morning so they could run tests to see what Landon is allergic to. He was such a brave little boy getting his blood drawn. He didn't cry one little bit. I, on the other hand, started crying as soon as they brought the needle over to the table! I hope he is not allergic to too much and what allergies he has he grows out of. Other than that little scare he gave us yesterday he has been doing well. He has his 9 month check up in 2 weeks so I will post his new weight and height stats then.

Oh Boy!
Landon is definitely all boy! He is getting into everything and anything. His favorite activity is pulling the DVDs down from the shelves and banging on the baby gate to get into the kitchen. He is constantly banging his head on things and crawling into the walls. I think he gets a new scratch on his head daily. He is trying to stand without holding onto anything, which causes him to fall down and yet he continues to do it. Landon loves to walk along the table and couch. He will do laps around the table trying to chase Tinkerbell. He is such a ball of energy. We will definitely have our hands full once he is running around. Landon also knows what he wants when he wants it. The other morning he crawled into the bathroom and stood up on the tub because he wanted a bath. I took him out of the bathroom since he just had a bath, but he continued to cry and go in to the bathroom until he got another bath! Here are some pictures of Landon doing his favorite things:

Landon is 8 Months Old!
Landon's 8th Month Photo with Pooh
Landon is now 8 months old and growing more and more everyday. He enjoys feeding himself and tends to fuss during feedings when he is not in charge of putting the food into his mouth. Landon's favorite food seems to be applesauce and chicken. He also loves apple juice, although it is more water than juice, but he will never know. He is starting to get the hang of a sippy cup. Landon never really had many bottles so he never learned how to hold a bottle. I am surprised by how quickly he learned to drink out of a sippy cup. We took him to the park today and got some really cute pictures of him. He picked up a leaf and enjoyed playing with it. I even took him down the slide twice. Kevin and I also swung on the swings with him. He is really starting to develop his own personality and he is becoming very vocal with his likes and dislikes. He loves to laugh and play and it is becoming apparent that Landon will be very outgoing when he is older.

Bring on 2009
It's already the beginning of a new year. I can't believe that Landon's birth year has come and gone. This is going to be the best year of my life. I'm looking forward to all of the new changes that will be occurring this new year. This year will be filled with Landon's first steps, his first words, and I'm sure his first temper-tantrum. Although I can't imagine Landon doing any wrong. He is crawling all over the place now and pulling himself up onto everything and anything. His favorite thing to do is to crawl over to the dvd tower and pull down all of the dvds. He keeps me busy and I don't have a second to myself, but I wouldn't trade staying home with him for even the best CEO job in the world. I finally got a video of Landon crawling with the regular camera. We are still unable to hook the camcorder up to the computer so I am posting a video from the camera, which turned out fairly well.
