This is what happens when a boy takes a helium balloon into a room with a circulating ceiling fan. The balloon gets caught, the fan stops and the boy starts crying over his "skuck" (stuck) balloon. I pulled at the strings for a few minutes before giving up and deciding that it was just going to become a permanent fixture in my bedroom. One week later I grew tired of not having use of my ceiling fan. I pulled on it a bit more, but that only caused the light globe to fall down. With the use of tongs and a steak knife, all while balancing on a stepping stool on top of my bed, I finally untangled the strings.
The balloon did not make is out unscathed and will serve as a warning for all future helium balloons that are brought through my front door.

Ah memories... We had that happen while I was visiting my parents. My dad was not happy that it burned up his fan motor. Helium balloons have been banned at their house :)
