Happy Birthday To You!

The night of Landon's birthday party he became really upset. He started crying because his party was over. He wanted everyone to come back over for another party. He picked up some of his balloons and started singing the Happy Birthday song. It was the cutest thing! He sang it for three days straight! I had the dining room light on when I took the video. It even looked really bright on the camera. Now that I uploaded it, it appears to be really dark. Hopefully it is not that big of an issue for anyone.

Landon Laughing

Landon has a toy with buttons of the alphabet on it. When you push one of the buttons it will say the letter name or play music depending on the play mode. Landon was playing with it the other day and when it was switched to the music mode he broke into laughter every time he pushed a button. It was absolutely priceless! I could spend all day re-watching the video clip. I don't think there is anything cuter than a child laughing hysterically.

B is for Buttons

I realized that I never shared Landon's video of him learning the letter "B". It is a long video, about ten minutes, but he's so cute that I couldn't stop taping! At the end of the video Landon even tried recording me. I love our morning craft time together. I try to find something hands on for us to do together every morning. It's how I like to fill the gap between breakfast and lunch- the time when Landon has already exhausted his morning tv limit and when the toys have all been cleaned up so I'm wanting to keep it that way!

There was plenty of light shining into the room this morning while we were doing this. I didn't think it was necessary to turn on the dining room light. For some reason the video is dark. I guess I should have turned on the light after all. Oh well. It's still a cute memory of craft time with Landon.

Late Night, Old Video

Landon and I were up late last night due to his coughing. I was so excited about how easily he went down to sleep and had grand plans of ironing when I heard Landon crying. I went to try to put him back to sleep, but he wasn't having any of it. We sat in the rocking chair for a long while looking through some old photos and videos that were recovered on an old memory card. I came across a video of Landon eating oatmeal. It's a really short video, but we couldn't stop watching it. Landon made such a mess with that oatmeal. He sure was enjoying himself though. That is made apparent by his happy dance! Landon had me play this over and over again last night until we both fell asleep.

Holy moly, me oh my, you're the apple of my eye...

Is that not the cutest video ever? I have watched it time and time again today. I especially love the part where the little girl is trying to whistle. She's so stinking cute. There are other videos as well of daddy and daughter, but this one is my favorite. I just wanted to share it with everyone since I can't seem to get enough of it. The love between this dad and his little girl is simply amazing. If only I had even a smidgen of singing talent, then Landon and I could make a cute little video. Don't worry, I will spare everyone. You won't be seeing any videos of me singing any time soon. Landon has started singing the Wonder Pets theme song, which is really cute. I may share a video of that one day soon.

More What?!

Today I am thankful for phones with video. As much as I despise Kevin's phone at times it does come in handy every now and then. He was able to get a video of Landon asking for more. It sounds like Landon is asking for more...well you be the judge!

Not Me! Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

The words "come here" or "lay down for a diaper change" never have to be repeated around here. If by chance they did have to be repeated over and over again, then most certainly I would never have to be stern about it and follow those sayings up with "now". Nope, not me. I would never have to continuously use the word "now" to follow up a command for Landon. Landon always listens so well and follows orders the first time that they are given. He would never hear "now" so often that he then looks at me, points his finger down, and then says "now" just like I do.  Even if he had started to mock me in such a way I would never find this behavior cute and catch it on video. Nope, not me! I most certainly would never laugh at the little dance that he does after he mocks me. I have far too much composure for that!
