I Don't Know!

I last posted Landon's most recent phrase, which is "I love you". There is another phrase that Landon has been saying for a couple of weeks now that continually makes us laugh. When we ask Landon why he did something he responds with an "I don't know". The way he says it is just too cute. We constantly find ourselves asking Landon questions to purposely get him to say "I don't know". You can see for yourself just why we do such a thing:

Now isn't that the cutest "I don't know" that you have ever heard?! The cuteness factor also gets upped when he's in his Buzz towel. Landon loves his Buzz Lightyear towel. He loves it so much that I am contemplating buying him the Woody towel the next time I go to the store. He wears it for hours after his bath. He even insisted on blowing bubbles in it yesterday evening. Landon also learned how to actually blow the bubbles off of the wand yesterday as well.
When he realized that he was able to blow the bubbles onto my leg he couldn't stop laughing.

Birthday Take Two!

I finally received Landon's birthday pictures that were taken by someone at his party. I will share a few with everyone.

I Love You!

Just when I thought the most precious words out of Landon's mouth were "Mommy" and "Daddy" we were proven wrong. Landon is now saying "I love you". Hearing those words out of his mouth brings tears to my eyes. I'm pretty sure even Kevin teared up when Landon said I love you to him for the first time. I know my crying over Landon is nothing new, but he really does melt my heart when he says those sweet words. I got a short snippet of it on video. It's not very clear, but sound is all you need.

Cloud Shapes

When was the last time you looked up at the clouds? Until the other day I couldn't answer that question. I couldn't remember the last time I looked up at the sky in awe. The way we did as children making shapes out of the clouds The other evening we took Landon to Chuck E Cheese. When we walked outside I noticed a rainbow in the sky. I couldn't remember the last time that I had seen a rainbow or even when I last looked up at the sky for the heck of it. The rainbow was visible the whole drive home and Landon loved looking for it. When we got out of the car I asked him if he could see the rainbow. He said, "no, die-does (dinosaur)." I looked up and asked him where the dinosaur was. He pointed to the clouds and said up. It then hit me that he was making shapes out of the clouds. We stood outside for several minutes, through the light rain and all just enjoying watching the clouds. It's funny how a two year old can teach an adult to relax a little more and enjoy the little things in life. Ever since that day Landon now points out other animals in the sky. So far he has seen a lion, a tiger, a hippo, a giraffe, a panda bear, and pretty much any other animal there is. He even said one was Happy (Jenn's bird). Growing up we always hear that we should listen to our elders because they are wiser. I don't think children get enough credit. Through the eyes of a child you can learn life's true meaning. Children teach you patience, love, and understanding for the world in which we live. I know I for one have learned far more in these past two years with Landon than I have in all of my 27 years. Or maybe I am just re-learning what I already knew and have been too caught up in life to apply them. Either way, I am going to be looking at the clouds more often and admiring the world in which we live.

Not My Child! Monday!

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Landon most definitely did not sign to me that he was all done on the potty seat only to then poop on the floor. Nope, not my child! My well mannered child knows better than to tell me that he is all done with the potty seat and would never poop on the floor as I am getting him a new diaper. Even if he had, he most certainly would not be so proud of this feat that he had to pull my hand and walk me over to it to show me while flashing me his biggest smile saying "poopie"! Nope, not my child!

Landon did not open the fridge and pull out the barbecue sauce. Even if he had managed to get out the barbecue sauce he most certainly would never unscrew the cap and finger paint Tinkerbell with the sauce. Nope, not my child! He would never find a way to cause so much trouble in the two seconds that it takes me to go to the bathroom. I guess I was asking for it when I decided to actually shut the bathroom door behind me.

Landon would never become bored with his toys and insist on playing with my sunglasses. Even if he did decide to play with my sunglasses, he would never break yet another pair of my sunglasses. Landon would never find it funny to break my back up pair of sunglasses (he broke my main pair two weeks ago) leaving me with none. Nope, not my child!

This post would never cause a discussion on the proper spelling of poopie! We would never discuss such issues as to whether it is "poopy" or "poopie". Nope, not us! Such a disgusting topic would never be prime time discussion in this house.
