9 Months

Landon's 9th Month photo with Pooh

Landon is now 9 months old. I can't believe how quickly time is going by. In just 3 short months my baby will be one. Landon had his 9 month check up today and he is now 29 inches long and 21 pounds 7 ounces. We got the results back on Landon's allergy tests and he is allergic to wheat, eggs, milk, and yogurt. Hopefully he will outgrow all of those allergies by the time he is one. If not, it will become hard to find food for him to eat. Almost everything contains wheat...even the gerber puffs and teething biscuits that he enjoys. At his one year appointment we will be referred to an allergy specialist to see if Landon's allergies have cleared. We are all starting to get over this cold that Kevin so kindly brought home. Landon has a few more days worth of antibiotics to take, but he is doing a lot better. His fever and cough have both gone away. I still have some stuffiness, but that too is becoming bearable. Now all I have to do is catch up on the housework that has been piling up all week since I've been sick! Landon is steadily learning to walk as we hold his hands and he can now clap and shake his head no. He also learned how to take his pants off somehow. I went in to his room to get him from his nap and there he was, standing in his crib with no pants on! I just hope that he doesn't learn how to take his diaper off. I don't want to be the one cleaning that mess! Landon also loves to dance. He will bounce up and down and shake his head all around. Landon is still not sleeping through the night and as of lately does not want to take any naps. I hope he says "Mommy" soon because it will make this exhaustion completely worth it!! Kevin started his new job with Wachovia yesterday. He is now working Monday-Friday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. He is home late, but has all morning to spend with Landon and I. What makes it even better is that it is right down the road. His new schedule will also allow me to catch some more sleep in the mornings after Landon's first feeding. It will help me out a lot since I am up throughout the night and up really early in the morning with Landon. Of course there are no promises that I will actually be able to nap in the mornings because Landon knows that I am in the bedroom and will crawl in there repeatedly until I give up and come out of the room. I still hold on to hope that there will be naps in my future!
